The NAACP San Diego Branch’s 2019 STEM Camp kicked off on July 24th at Bell Middle School. This year’s camp has been expanded from 5 days to 8 days, and from 15 students to 25! We are hoping to make a difference in the lives of these kids.
The camp began with a tower-building exercise; one that has been used at companies like Qualcomm. Kids, it turns out, often do better that this exercise than adult engineers–never underestimate a young person!
We are so very grateful to our sponsors, SDG&E and Wells-Fargo, for making this camp possible!
