The NAACP San Diego Branch is pleased to honor Shaniia McMorris at our 2019 Freedom Fund Dinner!
Shaniia’s life is a tribute to her personal power. The strength, perseverance, and courage that she has shown through the trials and tribulations in her life is a testament to what it means to get a second chance. Through the support of her Aunt, she have risen from overwhelming odds to the beginnings of a new life. It is evident that she has kept her eye on the prize of excellence in both her personal life and academia. The hard work that she put into raising her GPA from 2.4 to 4.0 will serve her well as she continues her journey into Arizona State. We join your Aunt in acknowledging her ability to believe in herself, as we believe in her.
The Freedom Fund Dinner is an annual event that, in addition to celebrating our supporters, recognizes groups and individuals who have contributed to the cause of Civil Rights and racial justice throughout the City, County, State and Nation. This year will be an extraordinary celebration, as we look back on the 100 years since the founding of the San Diego Branch, and look forward to our bright future.
The evening is sure to be memorable and enjoyable for all.
