SDG&E Seeking Input on Electric Vehicle Charging

We received the following announcement from San Diego Gas and Electric. (Note: SDG&E has generously provided sponsorship to our Branch.)

San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) is seeking input from your community!

California has set aggressive goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A key way to meet those goals is through increasing the use of electricity as a transportation fuel. SDG&E is committed to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles.

SDG&E’s Clean Transportation team is seeking the public’s input on its proposed “Power Your Drive Extension Program.” This program would allow SDG&E to install 2,000 chargers at 200 locations over two years. These chargers would be installed at apartments, condominium complexes and workplaces — locations where most charging takes place. For more detailed information on Power Your Drive, please see the attached document.

The team at SDG&E will briefly outline its proposal, then ask community members for their feedback and expectations. CPUC Commissioner Clifford Rechtschaffen and CPUC staff will also be in attendance to respond to any comments and questions regarding the program. Here is your chance to have a say on the future of transportation in your community. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]
