I love my city I grew up here, I finished all my schooling here, and I was even BROKE here. I have lived in every district of San Diego because my family was very poor. We took what we could afford and made it our home and community. I am the first of my 10 siblings to finish college and used my knowledge and skills to help my previous communities to navigate in academic environments. By nature I am an advocate and activist. I spent several years traveling abroad helping with refugee crisis and offering my empathy, education, and lived experience as a refugee myself.
