Job Notice: Tree Ambassadors
Job notice received by the Branch. We do not endorse an opportunity, were merely pass them along.
Expected outcomes from now to November 8 are for each intern to:
- Characterize target community, either an organization you belong to, an interest sector (such as gardeners, interfaith groups, climate activists), or a neighborhood (or other area).
- Reach community members to inform and advise about tree benefits and what it takes to grow a tree. Content, media resources and links will be provided.
- Get and grow trees! Set and work toward goal for your target community to request trees, pick up and plant in front or back yard, or submit requests for a “free tree” from list of sources. Resources at https://katestrees.org/.
A letter of agreement will be signed, with “soft” targets. $300 will be paid when half of the tasks are done, and the final $300 upon completion.

SB 26, known as the Fair Pay to Play Act 2.0, advances the effective date of the Fair Pay to Play Act in SB 206 (2019) from January 1, 2023 to September 1, 2021.
