The History of Suspensions, Expulsions and Special Education in PK-12 Schools
 
Panelists: Katrina Hasan Hamilton, NAACP San Diego;  Dr. Joseph Johnson, San Diego State University; Steven Dorsey, San Diego County Office of Education; Mohamed Qas, San Diego State University.
 
We are centering the conversation around Black and Brown students with a specific emphasis on Southeastern San Diego and of course, throughout the county. This discussion will also include the history of local, state, and National trends.

About the SD Unified COVID-19 Student Vaccine Mandate

Under a vaccine mandate approved by the Board of Education, San Diego Unified will require students who are 16 and older as of November 1, 2021 and who wish to continue learning in-person to be fully vaccinated, effective January 24, 2022 at the start of the new semester/quarter.
