Short Story: An original short story between 1000 and 1500 words

Performing Arts
Dance: Ballet: A solo performance, 5 minutes or less
Dance: Contemporary: A solo performance, 5 minutes or less
Dance: Modern:  A solo performance, 5 minutes or less
Dance: Traditional:  A solo performance, 5 minutes or less
Dramatics: Staged Play: 3-5 minute dramatic performance
Music: Instrumental—Classical: Five minutes or less of a composition for solo instrument (piano accompaniment ok)
Music: Instrumental—Contemporary: Five minutes or less of a selection featuring a solo instrument; other musicians allowed
Music: Vocal—Classical: One song, five minutes or less
Music: Vocal—Contemporary: One song, two and a half minutes or less
Oratory: Speech or excerpt not longer than five minutes, original or not.
Poetry—Performance: An original poem, three pages or fewer, performed in three minutes or less

STEM
Entries in the STEM competitions should consist of a five-minute oral presentation and a properly written scientific paper detailing the preparation, performance and results of a scientific experiment in the relevant field.

Architecture
Architecture: Short paper, blueprints, site plan, floor plan, elevations, section of the design, oral presentation, and model.

Visual Arts
Drawing: No larger than 3 feet by 4 feet, analog or digital, and a three-minute oral presentation about methods and techniques
Painting: No larger than 3 feet by 4 feet, analog or digital, and a three-minute oral presentation about methods and techniques
Filmmaking: A film of five minutes or less, with storyboards
Photography: No more than six photographs or one collage, and a three-minute oral presentation about methods and techniques
Sculpture: One sculpture and a three-minute oral presentation about methods and techniques.
