Dr. Williams is the National President and CEO of the National Congress of Black Women and former Counsel
to the U.S. Congress’ District of Columbia Sub-Committee on Judiciary and Education. She’s a former Professor of International Law at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. She previously served as Chief of Staff for the late Marion Barry. She’s a former teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She served President Barack Obama as a member of his Presidential Scholars Commission. She is currently a Board Member of the World Conference of Mayors.
