HELP Wanted!

Keeping track of memberships, keeping the Branch fully informed, and managing the money may not be the most glamorous ways to advocate for Civil Rights and an end to racial discrimination, but they are crucial to getting the work done.

The ideal Assistant Secretary would:

  • Have a good mind for detail
  • Be proficient with email
  • Be familiar with Google Drive, Docs, Forms and Sheets
  • Be familiar with Adobe Acrobat or other PDF software
  • Have a high degree of integrity
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Be available the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings of each month
  • Have an additional 4+ hours per week to devote to the vital work of the NAACP
  • Have their own laptop


The ideal Assistant Treasurer would:

  • Have a good mind for detail
  • Have a basic understanding of bookkeeping
  • Be familiar with spreadsheets and QuickBooks
  • Have a high degree of integrity
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Be available the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings of each month
  • Have an additional 4+ hours per month to devote to the vital work of the NAACP
  • Have their own laptop

Assisting at one of these positions would not only be of great service to the NAACP San Diego Branch, it would be an excellent opportunity to see if you wanted to run for Secretary or Treasurer in our November 2020 elections. Our Treasurer has already notified us he will not run for reëlection.
