Please note that you must be logged into Zoom, and your profile must be a current picture of your face and have your legal first and last name on it. For help getting set up, see: sandiegonaacp.org/zoom-setup

The San Diego Magazine list of black-owned restaurants mentioned by Ms Branch during the meeting is here:

Black-Owned Restaurants to Support in San Diego

We tell the stories of our city’s restaurants. It’s what we do. We’ve been asked by multiple readers for a list of black-owned restaurants people can support. This is that list. From juicy brisket to golden fried catfish to spicy stews with warm injera bread to vegetarian soul food-have it for dinner tonight.

Setting Up Zoom

Canceled: April 2nd, 2020 Meeting

April 2, 2020

Esteemed Allies, Sponsors, and Members,

Given the current crisis associated with COVID-19 pandemic we will not be meeting face to face, as we practice social distancing as mandated by the CDC. However, we will be working on having a virtual meeting next month.

First and foremost I hope that you and your family are staying physically and emotionally well during these unprecedented times. In such uncertain times, it is difficult yet necessary to keep looking forward to the year ahead of us.  The Office of the President has continued to work with our partners and community to share information and resources with those in need. We appreciate the continued memberships and donations, and we continue to purchase luggage for our foster youth.  We very much look forward to reaching our goal of 100 before the deadline of May 7, 2020.

Speaking of deadlines, May 1st is the new deadline for your membership to be current if you want to run in the Branch election in the fall.  Please see the packet below for information on the valuable work you can do for Civil Rights should you be willing to serve the Branch in this way.

Francine Maxwell, President
NAACP San Diego Branch

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be holding our April General Membership Meeting. However, please read the President’s full report and the committee reports and announcements in the interactive packet online or by viewing/downloading the entire packet. The President discusses the upcoming elections, the offices you might run for, the committees you might join, as well as a summary of how the Branch has addressed the NAACP’s six game-changers over the past six months.

We will make a decision regarding the May General Membership Meeting sometime during the month of April. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

You may always visit sandiegonaacp.org/covid for links to reliable information on the evolving COVID-19 situation.

December 5th, 2019 Annual Meeting

We will meet at 6pm, December 5th, 2019, in the Community Room of the Joe & Vi Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, 404 Euclid Avenue.

You may view the interactive meeting packet online.

Or, if you prefer to view/download the entire packet, you may.

We had a celebration of Kwanzaa at the meeting; we thought you might enjoy some pictures!
