Samantha Jenkins is a proud first generation American. She’s a veteran and career military spouse as well as a mother of two. Upon her honorable exit from the US Navy and while raising her children with an often deployed active duty spouse she completed her degree and graduated Cum laude. During the course of her spouses’ s military career she volunteered in numerous leadership capacities to mentor junior enlisted military spouses as they navigated their course through the military life. Upon completion of her degree she embarked on a career in social services and worked for multiple local Non-profit agencies Samantha chose to work in positions that enabled her to support low-income children and families and the homeless veteran population. Although raised on the East coast She’s a committed herself to serving as leader in her South East San Diego community. Samantha currently serves on the Executive Committee of the NAACP, the city’s Citizen Advisory Board for Police and Community Relations ,the Skyline Paradise Hills Planning Committee and the Bay Terraces Community Association. Samantha consistently seeks opportunities to mentor and support women and enrich and develop her community.
